Tadeco bags Pahalipay softball crown

The Tadeco softball team created waves again when they bagged the Mayor Rody-Inday Sara Pahalipay sa Pasko softball title on December 30 at the Mintal field.

This is a follow-up of their victory in the Araw ng Dabaw after settling for the first runner-up honors in the Kadayawan Sportsfest.

Ageless Toto Maturan backed by Meloy Bastida and Jake Barrosa led the 7-2 win over the combined forces of Davao City Water District and University of Mindanao. DCWD-UM needs to beef up this year. There are still a lot of talented athletes ready for recruitment.

Digos City bested the Matina Boys, 5-2 for the third spot with Jonathan Almacin scoring a grand slam after they trailed, 1-2. Edgardo Graciano, Ramonito Torres, Michael Semilla and Roalnd Asara and Almacin completed their runs to seal the victory.

Jemarie Buanhog scored a home run in the women’s final for a 3-2 win by UM against the Toril All-Stars. Cor Jesu College of Digos landed at third place.
